Call for Submissions

We are accepting submissions and nominations for the second annual 2RO MEDIA Festival scheduled to take place September 27-29, 2024 in Ohsweken–Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. Our call is open to all works in film & video, media art and installations, and performances.

Eligibility: artwork submitted in all areas needs to have an Indigenous lead creative who has primary artistic or directorial control over the project.

Please include: name of project lead; title; short description of the work; biographies of primary contributors; contact information; documentation (as attachment or link).

2RO Media is an artist/curatorial collective based in Ohsweken; Six Nations of the Grand River. We have been active since 2015 producing events, experimental documentaries, art installations, media works, and performances. We are 100% Haudenosaunee led, and have a mandate to support Indigenous projects, productions, cultural activities, and language revitalization through community engagement, programming and other creative initiatives.

2RO MEDIA Festival 23 will feature media arts installations, film & video, audio projects, performance, spoken word and artists panels/ talks (October 19-22) with additional community gatherings, workshops, outreach, and other activities occurring throughout the year. We aspire to be a venue for the sharing, transmission and presentation of cultural knowledge through creative praxis, focusing on Six Nations artists, performers and creators.
