2Ro Media launches their large-scale media installation titled Ne:Kahwistará:ken Kanónhsa’kówa. The installation is a 34ft circular screen that viewers experience from the inside; featuring storytelling performed by many and varied Six Nations artists and beyond; based on the Haudenosaunee Creation Story spanning past, present and future timelines. Come early for the traditional Haudenosaunee Thanks Giving Address, and introductions by the 2Ro Media artists. View large scale images of the “Making of” Ne:Kahwistará:ken Kanónhsa’kówa with an artist talk and Q&A. Catering Provided.

Festival Activities All Day!

Get on the Bus! A coach bus will leave from 401 Richmond Street Toronto at 11am Monday October 23rd, and return visitors to the Festival at 7pm.
Follow the link to register for this one-day Festival trip to Six Nations Reserve. There is no fee. Due to limited space we are capping the number of participants at 50.
1st Stop 1pm-3pm
Thru the Red Door is a Haudenosaunee owned and operated production studio and audio/visual production and post production house on Six Nations of the Grand River. The 2Ro Media Collective’s large scale immersive digital media installation is housed at Thru the Red Door and creators Jackson 2bears and January Rogers will be in attendance to speak on the concepts and meaning of the media content as well as walk you through a photo exhibit with images from the making of the media installation. Refreshments will be served.
2nd Stop 3pm-6:30pm
Chiefswood Park Upper Pavilion Conference Room
Participants will enjoy a mini tour of Chiefswood Park, and be treated to a screening of Beautiful Scars, directed by Shane Belcourt, featuring the first-person account of Mohawk musician, Tom Wilson’s journey back to his cultural roots and true identity. Shane Belcourt and Tom Wilson will be in attendance for a post screening film discussion and Tom Wilson will treat us to some songs. A full catered meal will follow. A firepit gathering and a visit to the park gift shop is offered before travelling back to 401 Richmond Street in Toronto.
